 Part of `finfo` was introduced in PHP 5.2, but the part this WordPress
 function relied on was indeed not introduced until PHP 5.3. The included
 patch fixes that, among other issues.

 @joemcgill, is there anything I can do to expedite getting this patch
 included? This issue is affecting quite a number of installations and it
 would be good to see it fixed.
