Comment:

 I don't really see any benefit from deprecating the filter, even if it is
 now redundant and those who are using it aren't facing any immediate
 compatibility issues by using it.

 `post_updated` was probably added for consistency with other actions, it
 doesn't necessarily have to replace the existing hook.
