Comment:

 The customizer should not be modifying any theme styles directly; any
 compensating for edit shortcuts needs to happen on those elements or
 within themes themselves.

 +1 for [attachment:39349.diff], which should be in 4.7.1 if possible and
 looks ready for commit. Removing `needs-screenshots` since the "before"
 screenshot clearly illustrates the padding that's being removed by the
 patch.
