 Note that I'm not referring to the "content blocks" within the editor in
 recent mockups and prototypes, but the broader idea encompassing
 shortcodes and widgets that existed before that. See #33473. If I'm
 understanding that content blocks idea correctly, they were intended to
 have a broader scope than just the post content. It would also for example
 include widgets and sidebars, which would basically become another form of
 content block and content block areas. The whole template could basically
 be made of of different content areas where content blocks could be added.
