Comment:

 Now that we have `_load_textdomain_just_in_time()` (#34114), the approach
 in the latest patch doesn't seem viable anymore.

 @dshafik If you're still interested in this, it would be great to hear
 your opinion on how improvements could be made now. Also, how did you
 measure the performance? Makes testing/sharing patches easier.
