Comment:

 I've added attachment 42725.diff which is an alternative approach to the
 `_g()` function which allows people to specify the gender based words that
 can be used and swaps out the words based on the user's preference.

 It'll probably need some changes, it's not perfect but I think it works as
 a good starting point. It allows more flexibility for people to specific
 the actual word that needs swapping out.
