 As @fb2ts mentioned, I am the third person to report the issue
 [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/comments-held-in-moderation-even-

 There also appears to be a fourth user @tetzner experiencing the same
 issue (he commented on the first thread
 [https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/comments-stuck-in-moderation-queue-
 even-though-akismet-cleared-this-comment/page/2?replies=44 here]).

 Here is some info on my particular experience...

 One of my site members ''always'' has her comments held in moderation. I
 do use Akismet, but disabling it does not correct the issue. I do
 '''not''' have Jetpack. I am using WordPress version 4.8.1.

 My site member experiencing the issue was initially commenting under her
 first name only, but then later started commenting under her first and
 last name. Both versions of her name have been approved (I have always
 approved her comments), but they still get held in moderation nonetheless.

 Like @sa40test mentioned in the [https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic
 /comments-stuck-in-moderation-queue-even-though-akismet-cleared-this-
 comment?replies=44 first thread], it is highly annoying and embarrassing
 to have to keep manually approving comments from regular contributors to
 the site.

 Please help!
