The Twenty Eleven theme has a search box that has white font on a white
background when the cursor is in the box. So you cannot see the text when
typing in the search box, but it becomes visible again when the cursor is
moved outside of the box. I am using the Free version of WordPress so I
am unable to apply any css options to the page. This occurs with Firefox
on Linux or Windows 10 as well as Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge
(both without any ad-dons). The default needs to either change the
background or the font color to anything other than white which will add
contrast to be able to have the search entry visible when typing.

I'm just using the built-in editing capabilities of the online WordPress
website so I am unaware what version it is.
