 [attachment:25344.10.network-meta-without-query.diff] is exactly the same
 as [attachment:25344.10.network-meta.diff], however without the meta query
 functionality. This allows us to get a better overview about the most
 basic part of what we would need. The meta query implementation could even
 be committed separately from the main API functions.
