 Oh come now. I did not summon you here to explain yourself.

 I acknowledged your claim of misquoted, I explained it was not my
 intention to misquote you, I then clarified what I (mis-?)understood you
 position to be, I asked you to simply confirm or deny my understanding,
 and then I offered you a sincere apology in case I did misunderstand.

 Can you not be gracious and simply accept the apology?
