 With a topic in the support forums we could more easily help you and open
 a trac ticket if necessary.

 When you open the developer console in your browser (F12), you should be
 able to see the Ajax requests triggered when deleting or installing a
 plugin/theme. If you could share the responses of those, this would be
 helpful.

 I assume there are some PHP notices or errors being thrown which cause the
 process to fail.
