Comment:

 @tollmanz I agree, I'd like to do some research over the course of the
 release cycle. The `async` attribute on inserted scripts is implied.

 Does `defer` hurt browsers lacking support, Can I Use indicates
 [http://caniuse.com/#feat=script-defer browser support] has improved?
