 I'm happy to leave this ticket until beta 2 (due to it affecting bbPress),
 but it needs some soak time, so I'm not comfortable leaving it any longer
 than that.

 @johnjamesjacoby - sorry to be putting a deadline on you, but I need you
 to do testing before then.
