 @mikeschroder

 Tested on a site on Bluehost Cloud sites running the current nightly
 version of WP 4.7.

 Uploaded a PDF into the media library and it created the JPG thumbnail
 without any issues.

 Also to test renamed a PHP and a JS both as PDF files and tried to upload
 them into the media library, both returned the An error occurred in the
 upload. Please try again later, error message.
