 This talk about user testing being unnecessary concerns me greatly. We
 have sparse data on any of this, and we need to be cognizant that
 decisions here are being made mainly based on opinion. I say all this as
 someone who wants to see pretty much all the proposed changes.

 This is the kind of change that could have benefitted from a wider
 community consultation, maybe in the form of a before/after screenshot
 being shared on a Make blog and social media to gather interest and
 prepare users for the upcoming change. Even with the best intentions and a
 better UI experience this will be a pretty jarring change for end-users
 and we will hear a lot of complaining from both users and trainers.
