 I'm getting a little bit confused. The fix is
 [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/attachment/ticket/12706/12706.5.patch
 here]. (already for a while). This ticket is also open already for a while
 (>6y)! In the core sessions people are discussing about another setup, but
 it stays only to discussions.

 Please push this patch through the pipeline. It's a small fix. People will
 get happy and the ticket can be closed. Discussions can go further in a
 new ticket for future approach. It's unacceptable to let a ticket open for
 so long.
