 As we've now switched to using [https://github.com/rmccue/requests
 Requests] I'm marking this ticket as wontfix.

 Individual enhancements which make sense for Requests should be submitted
 upstream for consideration. Please note that submitting a single ticket
 which modifies multiple things, such as this one, is bound to get ignored
 by most projects as the scope doesn't allow easy reviewing.
