 This image] shows the border at full opacity, which doesn't seem to match
 the play/pause icon in the middle of the button well.

 Yeah, something's wrong there — the icon should be 100% opaque on hover,
 as per my first post. The border, to match the background, can go up to
 80% opaque on hover.
