Comment:

 [attachment:34893.14.diff] includes the outline on text inputs with errors
 and replaces the left border with an outline on the header element (as an
 inset box-shadow) for menus and widgets. Should be ready for a first-pass
 commit. Additional design updates can happen as other approaches are
 developed.
