 Hi @danygold - Thanks for the report, and welcome to WordPress Trac!

 The description field on term.php does not contain a wysiwyg editor, at
 least not by default. It's possible that you're using a plugin that
 creates a TinyMCE instance here. If so, it would be the responsibility of
 that plugin to use implement core hooks like `tiny_mce_before_init`. I
 suggest you contact the plugin author for support with this issue.
