 I merged the patch you mentioned and continued from there, although CSS
 neeps a bit of work and I need help on that, only because I don't want to
 mess up the WordPress CSS standards.

 Also I don't know if you want to follow a different method (api menu etc)

 Should I make a patch and for someone to continue from this?
