 [attachment:34213.2.diff] is an updated patch based on the previous
 suggestions by @ocean90, notably changing the order of `$path`
 initialization to make the functions more readable and fixing the
 `$mofile` in `load_theme_textdomain()`.

 Also, I added `@since 4.6.0` entries to the docblocks to document the
 change.
