 expect for "3 columns" to show the child page, especially considering that
 just "columns" shows it.

 Just to clarify something on that bug, it's not a bug. It behaves the same
 way on WP 4.4.x - Unexpected behavior, yes, but it didn't break in this
 change so it's not related.
