Comment:

 34945.4.patch is pretty similar to 34945.3.patch. It adds another private
 helper function that caches the corrected `$baseurl` in a static. Ideally
 this will be part of `wp_get_upload_dir()` or even `wp_upload_dir()` when
 the rest of the ssl updates land in core.
