 Thanks @hopetommola. I'm not able to reproduce this issue on a clean
 install of WP 4.4.2. It's definitely odd that `wp_upload_dir()` is
 returning an HTTPS scheme for the baseurl but you're seeing HTTP scheme
 `srcset` attributes. Is it possible that you have some other plugins or
 filters interfering?

 Can you also see what `_wp_upload_dir_baseurl()` is returning?
