 Hey there,

 Welcome to WordPress Trac and thanks for your report!

 Can you confirm that this happens with the latest version of WordPress,
 all plugins disabled and running one of the default themes? I've never
 seen `get_post_meta()` fail for scheduled posts, so I think it might be
 something else.
