Comment:

 We discussed this in the latest theme review meeting and the consensus was
 that this ticket has gone a long time without any input. In part this is
 due to things taking time and in greater part due to things changing in
 themes and how we do things. Processes evolve and now the theme + plugin
 route is far more common. There is a link here to our discussion:

 Due to time, input, involvement and the discussion; I am going to close
 this ticket. As sometimes happens, the way we do things evolves. Thanks
