Comment:

 [attachment:34923.5.gif] contains the last missing piece here (other than
 taxonomy support) - showing users links to edit newly-published content in
 the editor. This leverages the notifications API added in 4.6, and the
 notifications would also be shown compiled in the notifications area in
 #35210. I also added an updated gif above showing the complete flow.

 Pending feedback and further review as requested previously, this should
 be ready for commit once 4.7 alpha is available. I'm removing `ui-
 feedback` since there isn't anything particularly dramatic in the proposed
 UI, but feedback is still welcome. Could use a +1 on the overall UX now
 that that's complete as well. One potential tweak - since the edit post
 links have to open in a new tab, we could indicate that visually with an
 icon, to complement the screen reader text that does the same.
