 Here's a mockup of an additional trashcan icon. Not convinced it works
 entirely.

 I'm also told that the X may be a design pattern for closing a modal, but
 the only other place I can think that this might be true is on the media
 modal, where the [X] does work for the close action, not the delete
 action.
