 Awesome! Our wordpress 4.5.3 + wpml + woocommerce site ( running a mariadb
 5.5.47 database on a server with 12 cores + 64GB RAM) was facing several
 performance issues for a long time.

 The alter table command fixed the utf8mb4 index issue and our server is
 now working as expected. Thanks!

 Btw, why this fix is not yet available on wordpress core?
