 I like the site logo concept for core, especially as it makes logo
 management more transferrable between themes.

 I also think Mel's design for site icon context is important, but
 especially if the logo is going into core. Two images without context will
 be even more confusing that site icon currently is. But with the
 app/favicon context on site icon, the whole thing will be much more clear.
