 Yes, definitely the API should be the same. And now, let's say you have 45
 menu items in frontend, which is cool, but you want to quick access only
 16 of them through the frontend.

 We could simply add a setting to disable menu items in frontend -
 Something with checkboxes for all menu items, and when you mark a checkbox
 it disables the menu item for the frontend.
