Comment:

 Setting `enable_post_data_reading` to `Off` disables population of the
 `$_POST` superglobal. I can't believe that much of WordPress works with
 this setting enabled, including saving posts, updating options, or even
 installing WordPress to begin with. What's it's benefit?

 Closing as wontfix for now. If there's a compelling reason why time and
 effort should be spent supporting this obscure setting, feel free to
 reopen.
