 Currently, I can filter an HTTP request's parameters, but not its URL.

 I've run into several situations where this would be useful over the
 years, and [http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/q/72529/3898 it seems like
 others have as well].

 There are a few workarounds, but they're
 [http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/72632/3898 inconvenient] and
 [http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/72530/3898 ugly]. This should be
 simple, and it seems like something
 [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/13449#comment:3 developers just
 assume already exists].
