 Sorry, it's almost impossible to know why your local connections are
 timing out now. It could be a configuration change, or network change out
 of your control.

 It's possible that these warnings were previously hidden in cron requests,
 as it looks like the update checks are performed during the post-update
 handler (in order to fetch any translations for the plugins just updated).
