Comment:

 For now I'm inclined to agree with @iseulde, Font sizes are not really
 ideal for a web Blogging application, as strange as that may seem -
 WordPress is focused on readability, and being able to define sizes
 between the editor and the theme (and have them actually have some
 relation to each other) isn't something that's going to be an ideal user
 experience (either for the author, or the readers) at the present time.

 For now, a plugin or theme which supports it would be the best route for
 most users.
 In the future as things move towards a world where the editor better
 reflects what you actually get when you publish a post, font sizes would
 be a more usable feature that could be utilised.

 For now, I'd suggest people should use headings where appropriate to
 signify sections.

 I'm marking this as maybelater, discussion can continue with the ticket
 closed, and someone on the WordPress team will re-open it we think we're
 going to add something like this.
