 I'll throw in one more use case, needed for journalist sites: Morgue.
 Articles with info that's out-of-date but has elements we wish to save.
 Often the "morgued" post's URL is redirected to a newer related article.
 But we still want to save the original, even if just for archival
 purposes.

 So the Morgue status public and search parameters are false, but the show-
 in-lists params are true. That way we can list all Morgue posts quickly.

 Not sure how general this need is, but in journalism the idea of an
 article morgue is central. And born-digital news is being lost FASTER than
 paper=printed news. So perhaps post-status can assist in
 archival/preservation efforts.
