 you are right I'm sorry! I'm pretty new to core.trac

 I see your point, and actually I'm working on a plugin that solves this
 issue of having the defaults in multiple places. I'll let you know when
 I'll release it if you want, sorry but at the moment I don't have a quick
 and dry solution..
