Comment:

 In the proposed patch:
 - use an empty alt attribute for the "browser interface" image in the
 sidebar
 - hide redundant text using `aria-hidden="true"`
 - describe what the image crop preview is with an alt text: `Image crop
 area preview. Requires mouse interaction.`
