 Hi webliberty and welcome to trac!

 @pento is it worth throwing a
 `document.implementation.hasFeature('http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/feature#Image',
 '1.1')` check in the JavaScript somewhere to check for SVG vs PNG support?
 Additional code would be required around the CDN settings in PHP, I'd need
 to spent a few minutes working out what this would look like.
