 it would be nice if the pages or posts list would not only show the number
 of comments per page but if it also could show a symbol if comments for
 this particlar page or post are closed.

 proposal:

 - the lock symbol

 - or
 https://developer.wordpress.org/resource/dashicons/#edit
 combined with a kind of "forbidden" sign/strike, similar to
 https://developer.wordpress.org/resource/dashicons/#hidden
