 Adding this to the Customizer is still on the todo list.
 [attachment:16075.6.diff] doesn't address the customizer at all...maybe
 I'll get to it this weekend, if not then probably next week.

 As for the discrepancy in accordion labels between Menus and Customizer
 Menus, that might need a new ticket. Can you paste in your code that is
 being used to create this post type (including all it's labels) so I can
 take a look?
