I think Jorbin has a point, but I '''also''' think that's the scope of
another ticket. "More meaningful status information on the plugins and
themes pages."
Flagging a plugin as 'not managed via wp.org' would be as nice as having a
way to say "This plugin hasn't been updated in over 2 years..." as a
method for educating users.
However for this ticket, just getting the ability in, to stop users from
the undesirable experience of "Why did my plugin get overwritten?!?!" when
I have to close a plugin for shenanigans cannot be measured.
