 might be a silly question, but I was more curious how I could go about
 submitting a patch to change the code for the API. Similar to how we
 submitted patches for the `/wp-admin/includes/theme.php` file here.

 I was able to find documentation on how to download the latest WordPress
 core code from svn and create a patch, but I can't find something similar
 for the API code. Or is the API code not available publicly?
