 I'm ok with either with or without, and I see @helen's point on weight —
 but an option to me seems overkill for such a detail. Let's try to make it
 less heavy visually and see if it work. If it doesn't, we don't add them
 or find a different way.

 Here's a quick mock with a lighter version:

 Another option could be to shrink them to 16px.
