Comment:

 Duplicate of #2682.

 WordPress has made a [https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/design-
 decisions/#absolute-versus-relative-urls design decision] in it's code to
 use absolute URLS. This is highly unlikely to be something we would change
 due to the reasons outlined in the core handbook.
