 I was about to log a ticket for this issue then I came across this. I
 have, however, already worked on a solution. I haven't tested all the
 patches added here, but I'll and mine anyway seeing as though I've already
 finished with it. It works entirely as expected (new 'Post Type Archives'
 meta box with check boxes for different archives) and everything goes
 smoothly. It does not include built-in post types because they doesn't
 seem to make any sense to include.

 The only issue that I still can't work around is that the menu item type
 label still says 'Custom Link' no matter what I do, so some help there
 would be appreciated if my patch is worth looking at.
