#32389: WordPress 4.2 - Keyboard shortcuts aren't working since the upgrade

 In the codex it states

"The following shortcuts use different access keys: "'''Alt + Shift +
letter" on Windows''' and Linux (and on Macs if you're running any
WordPress version below 4.2), and '''"Ctrl + Opt (Alt) + letter" on
Macs''' (when running WordPress 4.2 and above)."

On Windows 8.1 when I hit Alt + Shift + 1 for example to add H1 tag on
selected text, nothing happens. Before the upgrade I was hiting Ctrl+1 to
 put H1.

In chrome nothing happens, but I made a test with Firefox, Alt-Shift-1
 works to put H1 tag.

There is something really '''stange''', why change something that was
 working?
