 I tried an iPhone 5 with the same results as on the 6+.

 On a Nexus 5 with Android 5.1, tapping toolbar icons to close open menus
 doesn't always work. Home works reliably, but Dashboard and + visit the
 link instead of closing the menu. Tapping in empty space in the toolbar to
 dismiss works and doesn't have the tap eating bug that iOS has.
