 Just ran into this issue and was thoroughly confused as to why object
 property notation is being used on what's supposed to be an array.

 Either there should be a transformation to an object of the `$args` array,
 or it should access via array indexes instead of object properties.

 Very clear and well written bug report @geardev, thanks for submitting.
